A new Spire in the Italian Skyline

In Milan Saturday October 1st and Sunday 2nd 2011 it will be a spectacular weekend, since with a special helicopter, a steel structure called the Spire will be placed with many difficulties to the tower by Cesar Pelli.
This event is part of the current urban redevelopment that is affecting the area and the redefinition of the Milan skyline.
In particular, the hi-tech”flagpole” will be 80 meters high and the base will be sunk in the top floors of the tower where it will anchored leading the overall height of the building to exceed 200 meters, becoming the tallest building in Italy.
The new spire that will stand out on the sky of Milan, is essentially an open spiral and its realization has meant the overcoming of some difficult technical aspects because the outer shell is made of curved surfaces in diameter and sizes that needed a careful evaluation of the effects of wind.
For its implementation it will take about 140 tons of steel and the coating covers 1200 square meters and consists of 10% of glass and for the rest of stainless steel perforated metal sheets.

The German growth, which in 2010 had a rebound of 3.6%, was the result of a mix between exports and domestic consumption. The first was divided after the 2009 crisis, especially in Asian countries (China, in the first place), who had also strengthened domestic demand and especially the consumption of the Germans, who had allowed a consolidation of domestic production. Some areas had then recorded very strong exploits , such as machine tools, like used press brakes, whose total volume had increased in the first quarter of 2011 of 18% (in 2010 it recorded a performance equal to +36%).
These data concern a lot . First, it is feared a fall or drop in exports, given that the Asian demand appears to be stagnating. The data tell us that, while in the first quarter of the yer China’s GDP increased by 9.7% over the previous year, in the second quarter, growth was less than 9%.
In such a scenario, the German “locomotive” may suffer more damage. Lower exports lead to a decline in domestic consumption and an immediate decline in German imports, which would be reflected on the income of other countries, like Italy.
